Maintaining your deck
To reduce the occurrence of small cracks a water repellent may be used, ideally applied every other year. Depending on the location, amount of sun and general wear and tear, decorative stains will also require a periodic refresh in order to maintain their appearance.
It is important to keep the deck surface clean by regular brushing with a stiff bristle brush to remove dirt, algae and dead leaves, otherwise the deck may become slippery. At least once a year give the deck a more thorough clean with a power spray or proprietary cleaner.
