CREATIVE DECKING PROVIDES STUNNING SOLUTION FOR SLOPING GARDEN

Leading timber-decking range Arbordeck™ has been specified by Mansfield deck-building company Distinctive Landscapes to create an attractive deck terrace on a refurbished 17th Vicarage in Epperstone, Nottinghamshire.

Despite being surrounding by open countryside, the property was in need of a useable outdoor living space. In order to maximize the potential of the surrounding sloping garden and compliment the contours of the landscape, the deck terrace has been built up to a height of 1.8 metre with access provided by an attractive staircase.

Designed and installed by Timber Decking Association member Distinctive Landscapes and consisting of Arbordeck's(tm) grooved deck boards and contemporary handrails system, the deck terrace creates a seamless transition from house to garden by being built around a stylish conservatory.

The deck has also been designed to be sympathetic to the rural surroundings and holes have been made in the deck to accommodate the existing trees in the garden. The simple one-level design of the deck is also in keeping with the character of the period property and provides residents with an elegant and functional outdoor living area.
