When does the competition open, and when does it close?

We are open for entries from 13th June, and the closing date is 29th August.

Who can enter these awards?

The awards are open to anyone who has installed a Trex or Arbordeck softwood deck in the UK between 1st September 2021 and 29th August 2022. The deck must be fully finished and you must have the deck owners' permission to enter the deck into these awards.

Can I enter more than one project, or enter the same project into multiple categories?

Yes - there is no limit on how many projects you can enter, and you can enter the same deck into more than one category, as long as it meets the criteria. Click here to view the full category information.

Can I enter an alternative composite decking product or timber decking?

No - any entries that use a composite decking product other thank Trex, or a timber decking product other than Arbordeck, will be automatically disqualified by the judges.

Why should I enter the Arbordeck Awards?

These awards offer a platform for you to showcase your work in front of a wider audience. The shortlisted and winning entries will be seen by thousands of homeowners and businesses across the UK, giving your business a boost! What's more, there are some fantastic prizes on offer.

How do I enter?

To enter, complete the entry form on our website, filling in your responses in the editable boxes, and click submit. Make sure you include at least one clear photograph of the finished deck. Please note, you cannot enter the ‘Deck of the Year', Trex Brand Champion, or Best Trex Newcomer awards: these will be selected by our judging panel.

Is there an entry fee?

No - the awards are free to enter.

How many photos can I submit with my entry?

You can submit up to three photos of the deck. To qualify for the awards, you must submit at least one photo.

Who are the judges?

We will be announcing the judging panel in due course. Keep an eye on the blog for more information.

What are the prizes?

The winner of the Deck of the Year Award will win a four-day trip for two people to Washington DC, which will include a trip to the Trex University. The prize includes economy class flights and overnight accommodation and transfers. It does not include expenses for meals, trips or other sundries. The other category winners receive £250 of high street vouchers each. All winners receive a trophy, awards certificate and awards logo for use on their website and social media, and will have the option of having their winning deck professionally photographed and displayed on the Arbordeck website, in Pro Landscaper magazine and used on our social media channels.

When and where will the winners be announced?

The winners will be announced at FutureScape Expo, held on 15th November 2022 at ExCeL London. Shortlisted installers will have to make their own way to the event.

When will I find out if my entry has been shortlisted?

We will notify shortlisted installers in all seven categories by 15th September. We will contact you via the telephone and email address supplied on your entry form.

I am a homeowner, and I built my own Trex deck - can I enter?

Yes - please indicate this on your form as part of your 300-word entry.

I am a TrexPro installer - can I enter these awards?

Yes, the awards are open to anyone who has installed a Trex or Arbordeck deck, including TrexPro installers.

I am a previous winner of the awards - can I still enter this year?

Yes - in fact we encourage it!

What happens if FutureScape is cancelled? Will I still receive my award?

Yes - if FutureScape is unable to take place, we will host the awards as an online-only event. Should this happen, we will provide details for all shortlisted installers.
