INTRODUCING THE ARBORDEXPERTS INSTALLER AWARDS
In the 7 years since we first brought Trex® decking to the UK, it’s taken off in style – and the driving force behind this has been the enthusiastic and talented decking installers who make their customers’ dreams a reality.
We wanted to celebrate the work of Trex installers across the country: that’s why we launch the Arbordexperts Installer Awards in partnership with Pro Landscaper magazine.
These awards provide Trex installers with a platform to showcase their best work to a wider audience and create some decking inspiration for homeowners too!
The categories
There are four categories in the awards: Best Small Trex Deck, Best Large Trex Deck, Best Commercial Trex Deck and Best Trex Design Solution: so there’s something for every installer.
And every entry has the chance to win the coveted ‘Best of Trex’ award, which celebrates the very best Trex decking installation in the UK. The winner of this award, which will be selected by our panel of judges, will walk away with a money-can’t-buy trip for two to the US capital, Washington DC, and a visit to the Trex University in West Virginia.
In all four categories, we’re looking for creative use of colour and shape, design excellence, attention to detail and top-quality installation. Whether it’s your first Trex deck or your 100th, you have the chance to win.
Head judge and Trex product manager Sarah Francis explained: “We know that our installers do fantastic work, designing and installing eye-catching decks that make the most of Trex’s rich colours and attractive styles, working with large and small spaces and incorporating multiple levels and features such as bridges and planters. We wanted to acknowledge their work whilst at the same time giving them the opportunity to showcase it to a wider audience which is why we decided to launch the awards.
“All category winners will receive £250 in high street vouchers, as well as having their work professionally photographed and shared in Pro Landscaper magazine and here on the Arbordeck website. But for one winner, they’ll have the chance to learn from the very best at the Trex University and see what’s coming up next in decking.
“I’m very excited to see what the UK’s Trex installers have to offer!!”
How does it work?
Sharing your Trex decking is easy: simply download the entry form, select a category and type in your answers and decking description. Then email it back to us (awards@arborforestproducts.co.uk) along with at least one photo of the finished deck. That’s it!
You can enter any many of the four categories as you’d like – entry is free, so we’re encouraging installers to double up!
The deck must be in the UK, and you must have the permission of the deck owner to enter your work as we’ll be sharing the best entries via Twitter and Facebook throughout the competition and afterwards.
After the closing date of 28th September, our judges will comb through the entries, searching for outstanding Trex decking solutions. If your entry makes the grade, you’ll be notified by email or phone and invited to the awards ceremony at Futurescape on 20th November, 2018 where the category winners will be revealed – along with the winner of the Best of Trex Award.
