Announcing the bigger and better Arbordeck Awards
Last year we invited decking installers from across the UK to show off their best work in the inaugural Arbordexperts Installer Awards.
Newcastle-based hot-tub and Trex® decking specialists North Spas took the crown, with their inventive and beautiful Peffer project being named as Best Trex Deck – as well as going home with the accolade for Small Trex Deck and Best Trex Design Solution.
This year, we’re bringing the awards back once again – with even more chances to win!
We want to continue to celebrate the work of decking installers across the country: that’s why we launched the Awards in partnership with Pro Landscaper magazine last year, and it’s why we’ve decided to expand the number of categories for 2019.
The categories
There’s still the chance to enter the four awards categories from last year: Best Small Trex Deck, Best Large Trex Deck, Best Commercial Trex Deck and Best Trex Design Solution.
But this year we’ve opened the competition out so that softwood installers can also submit their most impressive projects in the Best Arbordeck Softwood Timber Deck category.
And every entry will be automatically submitted into the coveted ‘Deck of the Year’ award, which celebrates the best decking installation in the UK. The winner of this award, which will be selected by our panel of judges, will once again walk away with a money-can’t-buy trip for two to the US capital, Washington DC, and a visit to the Trex University in West Virginia to find out what’s next in composite decking.
In all five categories, we’re looking for creative use of colour and shape, design excellence, attention to detail and top-quality installation. Whether you work with timber or Trex, the same rules apply – your deck must be located in the UK, you must submit at least one photo and you must have the deck owner’s permission to enter!
All category winners will receive £250 in high street vouchers, as well as having their work professionally photographed and shared in Pro Landscaper magazine and here on the Arbordeck website. We’ll also be sharing your work via our social media channels, so look out for the highlights throughout the year!
What’s more, this year we’ve decided to reward the people who own the deck too – so as well as having their decks professionally photographed, they’ll receive £50 in high street vouchers. Check the terms and conditions for full details.
How does it work?
The awards are free to enter and couldn’t be simpler: all you have to do is complete the entry form online and upload at least one photo of the finished deck.
You can enter all five categories as many times as you like – and you can even submit the same deck for more than one category, as long as it meets the entry criteria.
After the closing date of 27th September, our judges will comb through the entries, searching for outstanding decking solutions. If your entry makes the grade, you’ll be notified by email or phone and invited to the awards ceremony at Futurescape on 19 November, 2019 where the category winners will be revealed – along with the winner of the Deck of the Year Award.
