What to look out for from us at FutureScape 2021
The 2021 Arbordeck Awards shortlist has now been announced, after we received a record-breaking 150 entries – an approximately 75 per cent increase from 2020 and we cant wait for FutureScape.
Not only did we receive a high number of entries this year, but they were also of an incredibly high standard, making it a tough job for our panel of judges to whittle them down. And with the shortlist now complete, we’re busy finalising our preparations for the awards ceremony at FutureScape 2021.
FutureScape is always a key event in the UK’s landscaping calendar, but we’re even more excited than usual as it’s going to be an in-person exhibition again following last year’s virtual event. Here are the key things to look out for from us this year:
The 2021 Arbordeck Awards ceremony
After our virtual Arbordeck Awards ceremony in 2020, we’re looking forward to crowning this year’s winners in person at FutureScape again. Not only will the ceremony allow us to celebrate the very best of Trex composite decking projects, but it will also give installers from across the UK the opportunity to network in person again.
The ceremony will be taking place at 12pm on Tuesday 16th November, the first day of the FutureScape event, in the ExCeL London’s Inspire Theatre.
Our Trex southern sales manager, Lee Heitzman, will be presenting the awards ceremony again this year, announcing the winners of each category plus the prestigious Deck of the Year title. Each winner will receive a fantastic prize package which includes a £250 Love2shop voucher, professional photography of the winning deck, and a trophy – with the Deck of the Year winner also receiving a money-can’t–buy trip for two to Washington, D.C. complete with a visit to Trex University.

We’re excited for FutureScape visitors to see our stand, which has been created to showcase Trex’s products. The stand will act as a life-size sample for some of Trex’s most popular colours from across the Trex Enhance® and Trex Transcend® ranges, including Rocky Harbour, Clam Shell, Toasted Sand, Spiced Rum and Island Mist.
As well as showcasing some of Trex’s most popular colours, our stand will also be decorated with two of the brand’s key products: the Trex Outdoor Lighting Collection™ and Trex Signature® Railing, using a variety of available colours. What’s more, part of the stand has been created using the Trex CustomCurve™ oven, demonstrating how this increasingly popular design feature can take a deck to the next level.
But it’s not all serious: there’ll be fun and games too – literally. Our stand comes complete with a cornhole game, which visitors will be encouraged to take part in, and the winner will of course receive an exciting prize.
