The detail

Allowing AM Joinery’s Andrew Milby to showcase his skill and creativity as the sole installer for this project, this exceptional deck begins as a wraparound outdoor living space that extends into the water. Careful planning and execution resulted in each level of the deck being perfectly straight and in line.

With the deck sitting 400mm above water level, Andrew worked in the lake during the installation process, using a small boat to keep his materials and tools nearby. The jetty and pontoon – spanning 10.6 metres – feature an expertly braced three-layer framework, with Trex chosen as the top layer. Popular Trex Transcend shade Island Mist was used across the space for a sleek finish with a seamless transition from the main deck to the jetty and pontoon.

A hot tub and glass and stainless steel balustrades added the finishing touches to this remarkable deck.
